DK runners take to the roads of Market Drayton

Twenty eight runners from DK Running Club took part in last Sunday’s (8th May) popular Market Drayton 10k road race, hosted by Market Drayton Running Club.

The hoops travelled to neighbouring county, Shropshire, for the event, which has become a popular diary staple for the club. The event is enjoyed each year by over 2000 runners.

Fantastic support from residents along the route always helps to motivate runners and keep them going. The goody bag is also a particular highlight of the event, with all finishers receiving a medal, t-shirt and an array of food items including yoghurts, chocolate bars, biscuits and sausage rolls.

First male back for the club was Rob Langford who completed the course in 45:25 and first female back was Victoria Williams in 47:32.
