DK runners’ annual Halloween run

Dudley Kingswinford (DK) runners took part in their annual Halloween run around the streets of Kingswinford on Thursday 28th October. Runners take the opportunity to put on their best Halloween fancy dress to take part in a 3 – 5 mile run before returning to the club house for a Fish and Chip supper. Prizes are awarded to the best male and female costume.

On Saturday 30th October five club members took part in the annual Poppy Run which is organised by the British Legion to raise funds to support the Poppy Appeal. Ray Selwood, Pete Stevens, Lorraine Wassell, Steve Marsh and Sally Husselbee along with her dog took part in the 5k run in Sutton Park.

The following day, Sunday 31st October, and despite the wet and windy weather, Lucy Jordan and Kathryn Purslow travelled south to take part in the Westonbirt Half Marathon, nr Tetbury in Gloucestershire.
