Dave Ede travelled to Poland to compete in the Katowice Half Marathon, where he recorded a time of 1:47:08. Closer to home, Ray Selwood, Mark Bailey and Matt Queen all competed for the hoops at the Summer Wolf Run, at Stamford Hall in Leicestershire.
A small contingent of DK members attended the second race of the Sexarathon series in Dawley for the 5k Phoenix Flyer. The next event is on 12th June at The Shropshire Golf Club.
DK was very well represented at the 2019 Market Drayton 10k Road Race. DDK’s Baljeet Kaur took on the Liverpool Spring 10km road race in challenging conditions this weekend. She was ranked 5th female in her age category.

Six runners from the club were in action at the flagship Virgin Money London Marathon. Claire Hancox, Sue Payton, Alison Thorneycroft, Karen Flint, Dan Davey and John Andrews represented the club in the capital. Chris Lewis took part in the challenging Shropshire Way 80k on 6th April. The amazing weather, scenery and food at the checkpoints all added to the enjoyment of the day for Chris, who completed the event in 11hrs 31 mins, which included an extra 10k of running after getting lost numerous times!
