Weekend races (18/19 May)

A contingent of around 18 runners from DK competed in Cobra Running Club’s, annual 10k over a very hilly course in Clent. Dan Davey was first man home with Lyn Sprague first lady home for DK.

Dave Ede was in Latvia to compete in the Riga half marathon on Sunday. In very hot conditions, he completed the course in 1:45:40, a personal best.

A bit closer to home Chris Lewis competed in the very challenging South Mynd 23km Fell Race, along with Baljit Watson competing in the Gloucester 10km and was 4th in her age category.

Further afield Dianne Castree took part in the Keswick Mountain Festival 5k along with Jacqui Elson-Whittaker taking part in the Hagley 10k.
