After a bit of tidying up the spreadsheet it must be time for a Grand Prix update.
After gaining big cross country points over the last few weeks Andy Weaver is making an early break for home and has built up a big lead, he is now well ahead of the chasing pack on 265 points, Dave Norman is just hanging on to second place on 219 with Mark Homer in third on 216. There is a big gap then to Darran Bishop on 145 however there are still plenty of points available.
It’s a similar story in the ladies competition with Cilla Harding in front on 148, again reaping the benefit of running both the Midlands and the National. Helen Tromans has come from nowhere to take second place on 135 with Hannah McGuire in third on 132. Carol Fisher is 4th on 97 followed by Karen Doy, Jacqui Elson-Whittaker and Jane Campbell.
The next races to be added will be the Action Heart 5, Rhayader 20, Ironbridge half and Stafford half. Plus there will be the opportunity to nag some handy bonuses in the road relays so it could all change very quickly.
